The New York primary for president had previously been scheduled for April 28th, but the State Board of Elections has voted to postpone it in order to avoid spreading COVID-19. It will now be held on the same date as the Congressional/State/Local primary: June 23rd. It is unclear at this time whether New York will forfeit convention delegates as a result of the change. Democrats in the State Legislature are currently looking into whether the State can temporarily expand the number of voters eligible to vote by mail in the interests of protecting public health. You may want to send in a request for an absentee ballot ASAP in the event that they do so. I will do my best to keep you informed of major developments as they happen. If you need to check your voter registration status you can do so here.
